I found the deciding factor for me was classroom management and enthusiasm!
I had never taught before and was up against many veteran teachers as well as
a principal who did not even want to interview me! But after she saw
me...she was hooked! Good luck! PS...I did sub in the district where I got
the job...I also was a secretary at the BOE...and volunteered in the district
for 10 years...I say get out there, make friends and influence people!
