I do the same thing! Maybe they will learn to draw LIGHTLY with thier pencils
like I've instructed a million times! I also tell kids I have 800 students,
if each got 2 pieces of paper instead of one we wouldn't have enough for the
rest of the year, and that they only give me $1.50 for each kid for the whole
year to buy supplies so we need to make the best of it. If kids tear their
paper when erasing I tape the back side with masking tape. If they crumple it
up I smooth it out and give it back to them... (then later when no one is
looking I may sneak them a clean one).
